HMCS Huron
When she was first commissioned HMCS Huron was given the hull number G24. She sailed with this number until the end of World War II at which time she was recommissioned with the new hull number of DDE216. Later on a second Huron ship was commissioned with the hull number of DDH281.

The HMCS Huron, Tribal class destroyer, seen here returning to Halifax in April, 1963, flying her paying off pennant. The length of the pennant, representing a long time in commission, is fitted with bladders to keep it afloat.
