Not a member but would like to attend the reunion? Full membership is open to any Huron personnel. Didn't serve in the Huron, but would like to join our group. Not a problem - Associate membership has recently been opened up to include any ship's personnel - just e-mail the website and request membership information. HMCS Huron Association 2007 Reunion
Ottawa, Ontario

Well, another great reunion - the 2007 reunion held in Ottawa, Ontario at the Chimo Hotel was attended by over 60 full & associate members of the Huron Association. Again this year, we welcomed several new members to our group and were very happy to see that many of them were able to attend the reunion. A big thank you goes out to our Reunion Committee of 2007 for doing such a great job. Monday was "Meet and Greet" and a chance to mingle with old friends and make new acquaintances. Tuesday's Memorial Service at the Cenotaph was amazing. In addition to our own members, representatives from Great Britain, United States, Korea, Italy, France and Canada were present. Each representative laid a wreath of remembrance on behalf of their country. It was a beautiful day and we had many people simply stop and observe the service. Following the service, we toured the War Museum and then returned to the hotel. The hospitality suite was well attended and gave everyone an opportunity to chat about new events and reminisce about old times. Wednesday brought the General Meeting where elections for office took place with the annual banquet being held that evening. Breakfast on Thursday morning again signaled the end of our reunion as we once again said our good-byes until next year. Thanks again Ottawa.

Reunion History

The Huron Association holds a reunion every year. The 2006 reunion was held in Gananoque, Ontario.

Members attended from across Canada. It is always a good chance to reminisce about days gone by and renew old friendships.

All members, including associate members, are invited and encouraged to attend the reunions - it is what keeps our Association strong.
